Is there/what is the difference in construction of AM antennas(tx/rx) and FM antennas (tx/rx)? assum same band? - antenna construction dont waste your money
Suppose that I am) in the transmission of signals, for example: 156.800 MHz (VHF Channel 16 emergencies at sea. We design an antenna for the FM on the transmission of an AM signal to be adjusted. And the hypothesis of an AM antenna is optimized for 156,800 would be appropriate for FM stations. The antennas are essentially the same or not and if it is my guess, what's the difference?, How the various elements, etc. I know that VHF antennas are suitable for the detection of AM signals. I am concerned with the performance of TX and adequate equipment. Thank you in advance.

Need for antenna design, that the frequencies are transmitted or received. The type of modulation does not matter.
